Pontoon boat covers - why?

Over time the weather can damage your pontoon boat. That's why pontoon boat covers are so necessary. By covering your pontoon boat, you can extend its life as much as 50%.

Below I've outlined some of the common kinds of pontoon boat covers that are available on the market. There are basically two kinds: trailerable pontoon boat covers and non-trailerable pontoon boat covers.

Trailerable pontoon boat covers

A trailerable pontoon boat cover is, obviously, a cover that goes onto the pontoon boat itself that can remain on the boat when you are pulling it with a trailer.

Non-trailerable pontoon boat covers

Non-trailerable pontoon boat covers are like the one shown in the picture at the top of this page. These pontoon boat covers are meant to remain stationary. The pontoon boat is parked beneath the cover to keep it out of the weather. These covers are especially needed if you keep your boat at a camp or if you live by the water and your pontoon boat is exposed to the weather.
